Submission Guidelines

  1. Banned Content. No requests for any of the following will be met.

    1. Pedophilia

      1. Any sexual content involving characters who are canonically or visually minors falls under this banner. For characters whose age is not explicitly stated, this will be judged on a case by case basis.

      2. Things like ageplay, age regression (in a sexual context) etc. generally fall under this banner.

    2. Sexual Assault

      1. Consensual non-consent does not fall under this banner, and may be requested, however it is up to artist/author discretion and cannot be guaranteed.
    3. Incest

      1. Includes step-relationships, and roleplay.
    4. Real Person Fiction is not allowed unless all real persons involved have publicly and verifiably consented and/or expressed support for such materials being produced.

      1. This is not a condemnation of RPF in any way, we simply wish to keep the comfort of all parties involved in mind and avoid the possibility of this charity drive causing someone distress.
    5. Generative AI is not allowed in the event at all. We have a zero tolerance policy for any of our artists using generative AI and requests for AI content are not valid.

  2. Request & Submission Guidelines

    1. All submissions must be sent via the email listed on our website and in our Tumblr bio. Your submission MUST include:

      1. Proof of Donation. Most charities will provide a form upon request for proof of donation, typically for use in taxes.

      2. The fandom you are requesting for and the characters you wish the fic/art to be about.

      3. Your prompt: we ask that prompts not be overly specific but provide a rough guide for our writers/artists. A list of up to 3 canon tags and a couple of sentences to outline the plot/composition.

    2. Our artists and authors are volunteers and as such we cannot guarantee that we will have an artist or author willing to fulfill your request. In this case, we will contact you and discuss further.

    3. Fic Length. This is up to author discretion, but 1,000-3,000 words is what you can expect. If you would prefer a shorter work, please list that in your submission.

    4. Art polish. Our artists are volunteers and so we cannot guarantee anything more polished than a black and white sketch.

    5. NSFW Content. All NSFW requests require donors to be aged 18+

      1. Verification methods may include a request for an ID, with personal information redacted and a photo of the user. However, we are willing to discus alternative means of verification. Unless we are confident in your 18+ status we will not accept any NSFW requests.
    6. Refusal Of Request. Should we refuse your request for any reason, but are satisfied with your proof of donation, we will contact you to discuss a substitution.

    7. We reserve the right to fully refuse any request for reasons beyond what we have stated here.

  3. Donations

    1. Please vet your charities before your donation and submission, as there are some charities whose activity does not align with our code of ethics. Before your submission is approved, we will be looking into the charity ourselves as well.

      1. There is a list of approved charities and banned charities on our website. This list is not exhaustative but if your chosen charity has similar shortcomings to those we have banned it is unlikely we will accept a donation to that charity.
    2. In order to be elligible, the donation included in your submission must have been made within the last six months prior to submissions opening.

      1. for any future events donations will have to have been made no earlier than the previous event’s submission window, and not have been entered into that previous event.
    3. We wish to support and encourage all forms of non-monetary charity but there are certain choices we do not wish to influence.

      1. Organ donations. This is a serious, permanent surgery with often irreversible side effects. We respect and admire your decision, but feel it would be irresponsible to encourage it outright.

      2. Fertility donations. We will not accept donations to sperm or egg banks.

        1. Surrogacy will not be considered for broadly the same reasons as organ donation.

        2. Other forms of fertility donation may be valid, we are not doctors, please ask.

      3. Blood donations and marrow donations are accepted so long as they are to a stranger or a general drive.

        1. If a friend or family member requires a donation and you provide it, that is a decision we admire and respect, however those are emergency situations with intense personal motivations and not a solely charitable act. If you are donating to a friend or family member in a manner you feel exempts you from this concern, feel free to contact us and ask.
      4. Food and Clothes donations are allowed but must be substantial (a tin of beans or a baseball cap won’t get you anything, but is still something we encourage)

      5. Volunteer hours are also acceptable (minimum 2 hours)
